The cakes are baked with a cake caster, then baked and then chilled for 24 hours.
Then, the cake is placed on a cake trimmer and baked for an hour before being placed on the cake trimmers rack.
The cake trims and then trims again for a total of 48 hours.
Then, the trims are cooled.
This is where the cake becomes crispy.
Then, on the very last trimmer, the cakes are cut in half and sliced.
Then the cake itself is cut into strips and placed on top of a cake decorator and a cake tester.
Finally, the pieces are placed on cake trays and placed in a cake stand, then left to cool for another 24 hours before being re-stacked to form a stack.
This is a really interesting method of preparing cake that takes a lot of baking and cooling, so I’m sure you’ll be able to make some really great, crunchy, chocolate cake.
